1. Connect your USB device to your computer
2. Go to USB Setup in the admin dashboard
3. Select your USB device from the list
4. Click "Initialize Vault" to create a secure vault
5. Your USB is now authorized for vault access
What happens if I lose my USB device?
If you lose your USB device, your vault becomes completely inaccessible for security. This is by design. You should:
1. Create backup USB devices during initial setup
2. Store backup devices in secure locations
3. Contact support for recovery options if you have backup phrases
Can I use multiple USB devices for the same vault?
Yes! During initial setup, you can authorize multiple USB devices. Each device will have the same vault access. We recommend having 2-3 backup devices stored in different secure locations.
Is my data encrypted on the USB device?
Absolutely! All data is encrypted with military-grade AES-256 encryption. Even if someone steals your USB device, they cannot access your files without the proper authentication keys.

Desktop apps auto-update when connected to the internet. For manual updates:
1. Download the latest version from our website
2. Run the installer while D-SAFE is closed
3. Your vault data and settings are preserved
4. Reconnect your USB device after updating
